Dr. Thomas M. Harvey was born in Madison, Wisconsin, and moved to the Chippewa Valley to join Chippewa Valley Eye Clinic in 2005. He has performed thousands of vision correction procedures.
Dr. Harvey received his Bachelor of Science in genetics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and later attended medical school at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Following medical school, he did an internship year at St. Josephs Hospital in Milwaukee. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (Chief Resident 2003-2004). After residency, Dr. Harvey also completed a one-year surgical fellowship in cornea, anterior segment and refractive surgery at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.
Dr. Harvey is Board Certified in Ophthalmology and is licensed in Wisconsin. He has served as a member of a missionary surgical team in Honduras and Vietnam. In addition to seeing patients, Dr. Harvey has various research interests, including lamellar corneal transplantation.
Dr. Harvey is a member of several organizations, including: the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Medical Association, the State Medical Society of Wisconsin, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and the Wisconsin Alumni Association.
